In recent years,with the trend of college entrance examination reform,reading the whole book has become a hot word,and more and more attention has been paid to it.The first learning task group in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for General Senior High School(2017 Edition)is "Whole Book Reading and Discussion".More and more Chinese teachers have realized the important role of reading teaching and noticed that reading teaching plays a decisive role in the formation of students' Chinese core literacy.But because some Chinese teachers do not understand the whole book reading,lack of practical experience,no systematic theoretical knowledge for guidance,do not know how to carry out the whole book reading activities,which is a major problem facing the current.According to the current high school Chinese reading teaching reform trend and high school classics reading teaching status,this paper takes the whole book "The Moon and Sixpence" reading teaching as an example,studies how to carry out the whole book reading in the Chinese class,and puts forward some reflections and suggestions on the whole book reading teaching.It is hoped that this case can provide some useful reference for the teaching of reading the whole Chinese book in senior high school.In this paper,the author has adopted three research methods: literature analysis,questionnaire and interview.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part is about the teaching design of reading the whole book of The Moon and Sixpence,introducing the reasons for choosing The Moon and Sixpence,the teaching objectives of The Moon and Sixpence,the implementation plan of The Moon and Sixpence,and how to evaluate the whole book.The second part is the implementation of reading teaching of the whole book "The Moon and Sixpence",which is mainly to complete three stages of tasks: task one is the arrangement of reading stage of the whole book,task two is the form of reading course of the whole book,and task three is the form of student feedback of reading the whole book.The third part is to study the problems existing in the reading teaching of "The Moon and Sixpence" and the practical results of students and teachers by analyzing the questionnaire and interview outline.At the same time,according to the existing problems of teachers and students to explore,put forward the corresponding suggestions and solutions.Through the teaching activity of reading the whole book The Moon and Sixpence,the author found that reading the whole book cultivated students' interest in reading and improved their reading and writing ability.Teach students how to read the whole book,standardize the students' reading method of the whole book;At the same time,it improves the students' reading appreciation ability and text analysis ability.In addition,attention should also be paid to the selection of bibliography and teaching evaluation in the implementation of the whole book reading.
