Ye Shengtao put forward the concept of "whole book" in the 1840s,and then the 2017 edition of "Chinese Curriculum Standards for General High Schools" put forward "whole book reading and discussion" as the first of the eighteen task groups.A reform of Chinese reading education.The length of the whole book is too long,and the editor of the textbook implies the editor's intention to read the whole book when he selects the excerpts.Based on the perspective of the whole book,the teaching of excerpts can promote the depth and breadth of the teaching of excerpts.This article takes the novel excerpts in the high school Chinese textbooks of the People's Education Edition as an example,and explores how to better teach the small excerpts by adding the original content,and stimulate students' interest in reading the whole book through excerpts.This article is mainly divided into five parts:The introduction part sorts out and discusses the research origin,research review,concept definition and the research method of the thesis.The first chapter first clarifies the relevant provisions of the Chinese curriculum standards for the whole book and excerpts,further summarizes the characteristics of the selection of novel excerpts in the PEP version of the compulsory Chinese textbook for senior high school students,and expounds the relationship between the excerpts and the whole book from multiple perspectives.It points out the necessity of placing the teaching of excerpts in the reading field of the whole book,which is the theoretical basis of the thesis.The second chapter aims to understand the current situation of teaching of high school fiction excerpts by formulating a more scientific and effective questionnaire.Through further analysis of the survey data,it is concluded that the current high school novel excerpt teaching under the concept of reading the whole book has many problems between teachers and students,which is the realistic basis for the research of the thesis.Based on the survey results of the previous chapter,the third chapter puts forward the following four teaching suggestions for the problems existing in the teaching of high school novel excerpts that point to the whole book: take excerpts as model essays,and lead students to read famous books;use excerpts as introductions to stimulate Students' interest in reading;formulate a 'whole book reading' curriculum plan;establish a reading evaluation mechanism for effective feedback.The fourth chapter uses the proposed teaching strategies to design the teaching of the excerpt from the novel "Lin Daiyu Enters Jia's Mansion".In a word,in the important sense of understanding the "whole book reading",this paper takes the high school novels as the entrance to conduct research on high school novel reading teaching,which is intended to provide some references for the teaching of front-line teachers,and to point to the whole book for the follow-up.The book's high school novel excerpts teaching research to attract valuable insights.
