In recent years,as people's work and life pressures have increased, psychological problems have become more and more important. The incidence of mental disorders in my country remains high, and the possibility of relapse after a complete cure is very low. Some patients with chronic mental disorders need to be hospitalized for a long time due to various factors after receiving treatment in the hospital, which keeps them away from the normal social support system.Social network support gradually weakens or disappears, which has a significant negative impact on their recovery. The rehabilitation method of the peer support group is to let the ex-patients get out of the ward and get to know their peers who have experienced the same illness as their own to carry out rehabilitation activities together, which is conducive to promoting the improvement of their quality of life.In this study, the experiment is to set up the experimental group and the control group, and use the scale to conduct pretest,mid-test,and post-test to conduct comparative analysis of data. The final conclusion: through the use of peer-supported rehabilitation groups, social workers have significantly improved the cognition of patients with schizophrenia during the long-term inpatient rehabilitation period, their social avoidance and distress status have improved, and the quality of life of their clients has improved. This proves that it is feasible for social workers to use peer support groups to intervene in patients with schizophrenia during long-term hospitalization and rehabilitation. This method is effective in improving the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia during longterm hospitalization and rehabilitation.
