Educational punishment is a hot issue in today's educational circle and even the whole society.With the enhancement of people's awareness of human rights and rule of law,the implementation of educational punishment has been greatly impacted.For various reasons,many schools and teachers have realized the significance of educational punishment,but they dare not impose educational punishment on students,which leads to the dilemmas of implementing educational punishment.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the problems of educational punishment and explore the coping strategies to break through the dilemmas of educational punishment.Adopting literature analysis,questionnaire investigation and interview method,this research selected 196 students and 40 teachers from C Middle School in Xinyi as the research objects and focuses on the understanding of educational punishment,its implementation,effect,dilemmas and causes,trying to explore the current situation of implementing educational punishment in ordinary high schools,revealing the specific problems of punishment in education practice,discovering its causes and proposing coping strategies.The results show that the dilemmas of implementing educational punishment in ordinary high schools are as follows: First,teachers do not have a clear understanding of educational punishment;Second,it is difficult to grasp the problem as to how to implement educational punishment;Third,the implementation effect of educational punishment is not ideal;Fourth,schools lack the necessary norms for educational punishment;Fifth,the rights and interests of the punishing party and the punished party are not guaranteed.The reasons for the above dilemmas are as follows: First,teachers' quality cannot match the increasingly complex educational environment;The second is the deviation of educational concept;Third,the punishing methods are simple and rough,and the education function is invalid;Fourth,the multi-faceted intervention and abuse of power is another reason;Fifth,the relevant laws are not perfect,and school management is missing.In view of the dilemmas of educational punishment in ordinary high schools,this study suggests that the specific coping strategies are as follows: First,teachers should strengthen their theoretical learning and update their educational concepts;Second,the boundaries of educational punishment are also supposed to be clarified;Thirdly,educational punishment means should be used rationally;Fourth,the order of educational punishment is to be perfected;Fifth,the supervision and guidance of educational punishment is to be strengthened.
