With the continuous advancement and deepening of urbanization and marketization, the flow of rural teachers to cities is increasing. This one-way,one-sided and unreasonable flow has brought great challenges to the stability of rural teachers in China. In the new period of socialist development, how should we treat and deal with the problem of rural teachers' resignation? How to attract and retain excellent rural teachers? This study focuses on the leading factor of turnover behavior--turnover intention, takes social support as the breakthrough point, takes rural primary school teachers as the research object, and tries to find the answer to the important psychological factors influencing the turnover intention of rural primary school teachers. In this study,180 rural primary school teachers were investigated with questionnaires, and the relationship between social support and turnover intention was analyzed, and the differences in demographic variables between the two were analyzed. On this basis, corresponding and targeted suggestions were put forward from the aspects of teacher training, teacher motivation and evaluation, and social support system. The conclusions are as follows:1.The total score of social support of rural primary school teachers is higher than the theoretical median. The subjective support and the utilization of support of rural primary school teachers are higher than the median, while the objective support is lower than the median.62.2% of rural primary school teachers are in the middle level of social support. The proportion of teachers with low level of social support is the smallest(15%),and the proportion of teachers with high social support level is 22.8%.2.The overall turnover intention of rural primary school teachers is low,and the intention of changing jobs is not very strong, and the intention of school adjustment is significantly higher than that of changing jobs.More than half(55.6%)of the rural primary school teachers have no obvious intention of leaving, but 40% of the rural primary school teachers have a certain degree of turnover intention. This part of teachers may have a certain impact on the stability of the teachers' team.In addition,a small part(4.4%)of rural primary school teachers has strong intention to leave. This part of rural primary school teachers is more worthy of our attention,so as to make up for the lack of rural teachers.3.There are significant differences in the social support level of rural primary school teachers in terms of age, teaching age, professional title, marital status, monthly salary and establishment, while there are significant differences only in the subjective support dimension of family location;there are no significant differences in gender, education background, and the type of school in which they work;the turnover intention of rural primary school teachers surveyed have significant differences in age, teaching age,and education background, professional title, marital status, monthly salary. But there are no significant differences in gender, establishment, family location and school type.4.The three dimensions of rural primary school teachers' social support(subjective support, objective support and utilization of support)are significantly negatively correlated with the two dimensions of turnover intention(school adjustment intention and job change intention).Social support has a negative predictive effect on turnover intention, and social support can explain 13.3% variation of turnover intention.
