The quality of education in primary and secondary schools is directly related to the future growth of students,is to tap the potential of students themselves and improve the overall quality of the core link,is to promote the new curriculum reform in an all-round way.Swimming not only can improve students' physical quality,but also can lead students to better understand the true meaning of life.It is an inevitable choice to promote students' healthy growth.As the capital city of an inland province,Taiyuan has unique advantages in terms of software and hardware resources,which makes swimming teaching possible for elementary and secondary school physical education in Taiyuan.This paper investigates the feasibility of swimming safety know ledge,water breathing,swimming sports technology,water self-help and rescue knowledge and skills,Current situation of swimming ve nue resources;The willingness of students,parents,schools and thesociety to offer swimming lessons in primary and middle schools i s analyzed.On this basis,from the aspects of operation mode,theymainly learn swimming safety knowledge,water breathing,swimmi ng sports technology,water self-help and rescue knowledge and skil ls,etc.primary and middle schools in Taiyuan.The results show that:(1)From the perspective of improving primary school students mainly focus on basic swimming skills such as underwater breathing,treading and floating,kicking,etc.and it is also a beneficial attempt to further promote the integrated development strategy of physical education.Governments,schools and other departments should give strong support to swimming teaching in the aspects of site equipment,teacher equipment,curriculum arrangement,safety plan and so on,and advocate the development of swimming sports.(2)In terms of willingness survey,primary and middle school students,parents,school and social swimming venue operators generally hold positive attitude towards the addition of swimming lessons in school physical education curriculum,but there are still some problems to be solved in terms of venue use cost,teacher training and safety guarantee.(3)In terms of teaching goal setting,different teaching goals are set for students at different levels.The main goal of primary school students is to learn basic swimming skills,develop students' physical quality,cultivate students' consciousness and ability to participate in physical exercise,and form good personality and social adaptability.(4)In the aspect of teaching content selection,primary school students mainly learn swimming related health and safety knowledge,water breathing,treading water,floating and basic swimming sports skills;For middle school students,they mainly learn swimming safety knowledge,water breathing,swimming sports technology,water self-help and rescue knowledge and skills,etc.(5)In terms of teaching evaluation,it is the requirement of students' mental health and social adaptability to cultivate students' confidence in overcoming difficulties and build good personality to form harmonious interpersonal relationship;In the assessment of knowledge and skills,primary school students mainly focus on basic swimming skills such as underwater breathing,treading and floating,kicking,etc.,while middle school students mainly focus on the improvement and improvement of swimming skills,swimming speed and endurance,and physical fitness.(6)In terms of teaching class arrangement,the duration of swimming lessons in primary and secondary schools should be 60-90 minutes,with 1-2 lessons per week,and the total number of class hours should be 18-36.
