The issue of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" is an important and difficult point in our country’s development strategy,and talents are the bottleneck restricting the development of agriculture,rural areas and farmers.Cultivating new types of professional farmers is the primary strategic task to strengthen the support of rural revitalization talents.Production and management professional farmers are the core component of the new type of professional farmers,and they play an important role in rural society.By strengthening the training of production and management professional farmers,it is an inevitable choice to realize the strategy of agricultural modernization and rural revitalization which can create a group of these farmers who know,love and understand agriculture.The competency theory has received more and more attention in the field of training,and has gradually been applied to the training and development of rural human resources.Competency-based training has changed the previous training concept.It not only focuses on the improvement of the knowledge and skills of the trainees,but also pays more attention to the cultivation of the potential,quality and personality of the trainees.It provides a new perspective and thinking to improve and optimize the training of production and management professional farmer.Taihang Mountain Agricultural Innovation Station fully brings together the government,universities,enterprises and other advantageous resources to explore an effective,replicable and extendable path for the training of production and management farmers.Radiated by the Taihang Mountain Agricultural Innovation Station,the production and management professional farmers are or have entered the real modem agricultural industry system,representing the future development direction of the new professional farmers.Therefore,this article takes the competency theory as the research perspective,takes the Taihang Mountain Agricultural Innovation Station as the research scope,and takes the production and management professional farmers driven by the radiation of the station as the research object to study the training of production and management professional farmers.First of all,it analyzes and combs the related literature of the training of production and management professional farmer,and expounds its related concepts and theories.Secondly,it summarizes and analyzes the development background of Taihang Mountain Agricultural Innovation Station and the status quo of the training of production and management professional farmer through field research.Third,combined with the literature research method,work observation method,and behavioral event interview method,the competency characteristics of the production and management professional farmers are initially extracted,and the competency characteristics are graded through the questionnaire survey method,and the collected data is processed and analyzed by SPSS software.This article constructs a competency model with 22 characteristics in 5 dimensions of production and management professional farmers,and measured the score results of the competence of production and management professional farmers.Finally,based on the field survey and the measurement results of the competency of production and management professional farmers,it is concluded that the training of production and management professional farmers has loose management,backward training concepts,training content to be strengthened,training methods not flexible enough,and training evaluations focusing on formal and other issues.In response to the problems that have been discovered,based on the competency model and combined with adult learning theory,the optimization suggestions for the training of production and management professional farmers are put forward,including the establishment of special departments to strengthen training management,strengthen the training concept of competence,and do a good job in training demand analysis,improve the training content and format,and effectively implement the five aspects of training effect evaluation.
