The marketization of non-profit organizations has a long history.Back in the1980 s,the transformation of government governance model and the rise of global association revolution have greatly promoted the market-oriented development of western non-profit organizations.The marketization of non-profit organizations in China started later than in the West,especially for the community-based social organizations,they have grown with the continuous decentralization of government power.For them,marketization is an emerging development trend.Faced with the increasing number of community tasks,community-based social organizations faced with increasingly obvious resource dilemma.More and more community-based social organizations began to adopt business management concepts and strategies to maintain development,and thus gradually embarked on the road of marketization..This paper focuses on a single case study,taking D Community Service Development Center of Gongshu District of Hangzhou as an example,basing on the resource dependence theory and the new institutionalism theory.It tries to extract the factors that influence the marketization of D Community Service Development Center from the external resources and internal capabilities.It also illustrates the marketization paths adopted by D Community Service Development Center to cope with different internal and external environments,and further analyses the path of marketization.This paper finds that in the development process of community-based social organizations,external resource pressure urges community-based social organizations to constantly strive for funds,policy,legitimacy and other resources needed for the organization's survival,which opens the way for marketization;The improvement of the internal governance structure and the improvement of the internal capacity provide a stable internal environment and favorable development conditions for the market-oriented development of community social organizations.In terms of marketization paths,D Community Service Development Center mainly adopts the model of "government support + independent management".It's actually a market-based path that interacts with the government,powerfully promoted the market development of community-based social organizations.This paper holds that the study of the reasons and paths for the marketization of community-based social organizations can provide a feasible option for the community-based social organizations to pursue the road of marketization,It also plays a certain reference role for cultivating and developing market-oriented and specialized community-based social organizations.
