The school-based curriculum,as an important supplement to the national curriculum and local curriculum,has its own special value and significance.School-based curriculum development can not only help the school's characteristic development,but also promote the professional development of teachers and the overall development of students.The development of school-based curriculum has always been a weak link in rural schools,facing problems such as the unclear orientation of curriculum objectives,the distance between curriculum content and the lives of teachers and students,and the lack of curriculum evaluation and results.Therefore,this research combines the difficulties of school-based curriculum development in rural schools,and conducts targeted analysis and summary based on life education theory,and provides strategic suggestions for rural schools to improve the quality of school-based curriculum development.First of all,this research tries to give new era connotations to Tao Xingzhi's life education theory,and finds the connection and fit between school-based curriculum and life education theory.Then,Combining relevant research and survey data to systematically analyze the plight of school-based curriculum development in rural schools,and select three school-based curriculum cases guided by life education theory for case-based analysis.Finally,combined with life education theory,case experience and existing problems,the quality improvement strategy of rural school curriculum development is proposed.This research is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,introducing the research background,research summary,core concepts,research significance and research methods.The second part is a theoretical exposition,giving new interpretations to Tao Xingzhi's life education theory,putting forward three new viewpoints: “Life is a curriculum,society is a classroom,and teaching by learning and practice”,and also summarizes the School-based curriculum under the guidance of the concept of life education theory.The third part presents the current situation of rural schools,rural school-based curriculum development,rural teachers' cognition of school-based curriculum and Tao Xingzhi's life education theory on the basis of questionnaire survey,although rural teachers hold a positive attitude towards the development of school-based curriculum,few schools have really developed school-based curriculum,and the effects of related curriculum are not ideal.The fourth part carries out three typical cases of the “Life Education” series of courses developed by Chongqing H School,the“San Sheng Education”series developed by Dangyang B Middle School,and the “Big Life”series of courses developed by Huanggang L Primary School.The fifth part analyzes the general problems of school-based curriculum development in rural schools from the four dimensions of curriculum goals--development subjects,curriculum content,development links or elements,namely,the course objective deviates from the current and future life in rural areas,the life ideal of the development subject is far from the current rural life,the curriculum content is far from the life scenes of teachers and students,and the development links or elements are missing.The sixth part is to propose corresponding improvement strategies and suggestions for the problem: Firstly,it is necessary to determine the dual curriculum goals around rural life;Secondly,strengthen the connection of the life circle of the development subject,and form the “community” of curriculum development;Thirdly,the course content is selected based on the life scenes of teachers and students in rural areas;The last is to further standardize the course development process,course evaluation and course recommendation.For rural schools,the development of school-based curriculum is necessary for the common development of schools,teachers,and students,but the development of school-based curriculum based on life education theory is a serious challenge.To find their own unique space for survival and development,rural schools must follow the path of differentiated development according to local conditions.Life education theory is the theoretical source of their differentiated development.It is an effective way for differentiated development of rural schools that promote School-based curriculum development based on life education theory and improve the quality of School-based curriculum development.
