The latest instruction put forward by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council is the following: to let teachers enjoy professional well-being,to ensure them attain a sense of professional happiness in their post,a sense of fulfillment in educating activities, and a sense of self-esteem in their social life. The realization of such vision is affected by teachers' working state. The mechanism of Effort-Reward is the measurement of teachers' working state. This research takes the view that working hours can be applied as a key indicator to examine teachers' contribution in their work, while salaries and wages can be used as a key indicator to investigate in teachers' reward.Takes a micro perspective of their working state,so as to provide corresponding objective evidence for the improvement of pertinent policies. In this study, area C was taken as an example,a sample of 134 teachers in the compulsory education stage were selected by stratified random sampling to study the relationship between working hours and wages.SPSS 25.0 software was used for data management and statistics. In this process, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted on the questionnaire data. The survey found that: in terms of the total amount of time, the weekly working hours of primary school teachers in C area reached 102.62 hours, including 7.05 hours of overtime per week;the weekly working hours of middle school teachers reached 90.44 hours,of which 11.5 hours of overtime worked per week. The working hours of primary and middle school teachers in C area far exceed the national standard that the average working time of teachers does not exceed 44 hours per week, indicating that the phenomenon of long working hours and heavy workload of teachers in C area is widespread. In terms of time structure, the average daily teaching time of primary school teachers in C area is 5.04 hours, teaching support time is 6.47 hours, administrative and auxiliary work time is 3.14 hours;middle school teachers' teaching time is 4.03 hours, teaching support time is 6.06 hours, administrative and The auxiliary work time is 2.83 hours. The time spent by teachers in area C on administrative and auxiliary work should be more used for teachers to improve their professional knowledge and skills. In terms of teacher salary, the average monthly salary after tax for primary school teachers in C area is 5152.5 yuan, and the average monthly salary after tax for middle school teachers is 4984.3 yuan.According to the "China Teacher Development Report 2019" released in 2020,the average monthly salary of teachers is4,24.61 yuan,of which the average monthly salary of teachers in the eastern region is5133.17 yuan, and the average monthly salary of teachers in the C area is 5133.17 yuan. The salary of teachers is higher than the average level of the "Report" and is basically consistent with the salary of teachers in the eastern region. However, the working hours of teachers in elementary and middle schools in area C have Effort-Reward Imbalance.Teachers believe that their working hours do not match the wages they receive. At the same time, the study found that there is no relationship between teachers' working hours and wages There is a significant positive correlation between teacher's age, professional title and teaching age and teacher's salary. Therefore, the research suggests that we should adhere to the equal emphasis on "remuneration" and "work" and standardize the performance-based salary payment mechanism;clarify the boundaries of working hours to protect the rights and interests of the teacher group;ensure the physical and mental health of teachers and reduce the heterogeneity of working hours;balance the return on labor and expand the return on work rate of return;scientific planning of working hours and wages to establish a new pattern of fair development.
