An Analysis Of The Errors In Writing Chinese Characters By Thai High School Students

The author mainly collects the writing errors of middle school students in Mukdahan school,analyzes the main reasons for these errors,and puts forward corresponding suggestions,hoping to help Thai students better acquire Chinese characters and improve their Chinese level.Through the author's nine month internship in Mukdahan school,1300 cases of writing errors collected are classified into stroke error,stroke order error,component error,structure error and whole word error.This paper summarizes the following seven main reasons for errors: first,the negative transfer of Thai mother tongue knowledge;second,the complexity of Chinese characters;third,the negative transfer of Chinese knowledge learned in the learning process;then,the influence of students' learning strategies,learning environment;finally,the influence of teachers and teaching materials reason.In view of these problems,the author puts forward some opinions and suggestions.In order to improve the quality of Chinese character teaching,the author thinks that we should improve the efficiency of Chinese character teaching from the three perspectives of school,teachers and students.Schools should arrange Chinese courses reasonably and select Chinese teachers strictly.Teachers should also continue to learn,delve into teaching methods,strive to explore more suitable teaching rules of Chinese characters,and find ways to help second language learners learn Chinese characters writing.Teachers should also correctly guide students to form the habit of writing Chinese characters.Accordingly,students also need to work hard to find their own learning strategies and correct their attitude towards Chinese learning.The author believes that through active efforts and cooperation in all aspects,the quality of Chinese character teaching in TCFL will be improved.
