Childhood is an important period of individual development. In this period, children's physical and mental development is not mature, and they have a strong ability to accept external things, but they also have considerable sensitivity.Emotional problems affect children's growth and development. As an important part of emotional intelligence, emotional management ability is considered as the premise and condition of individual success.Emotion management is an individual's response to emotion in order to adapt to social situation, establish interpersonal relationship and maintain social interaction. Therefore,it is necessary to cultivate the ability of children's emotion management and promote the development of children's rational emotion.Social work plays a positive role in promoting children's physical and mental health development and normal life, and can provide effective help for improving children's emotion management ability. This study provides intervention services for two clients through case social work.Through observation and interview, the basic information of service objects was collected, and the emotional problems and basic needs of service objects were analyzed. The survey found that the two cases had negative emotion management obstacles and emotion recognition problems respectively.According to the situation of the cases, four needs were summarized:(1)the need of emotion knowledge learning, strengthening emotion cognition and evaluation(2)The demand of learning emotion catharsis and expression way(3)The demand of learning emotion adjustment(4)Stimulate the need to use emotions actively.Combined with the professional theory and practice concept of social work and related disciplines, the intervention scheme of case work is formulated.Based on Goleman's emotional intelligence theory, this study provides intervention services for service objects from three aspects: appraisal and expression of emotion, regulation of emotion and utilization of emotion.Through the application of ABC theory of emotion, the service in the form of knowledge learning, imitation practice, case analysis and game can increase the emotional knowledge of service object, improve the cognition of service object to emotion, enhance the ability of emotional expression and adjustment, stimulate the motivation of using emotion, and promote the improvement of service object's emotional management ability. In two months, according to the needs of two clients, intervention services were carried out on three levels of emotion management.Through process evaluation and result evaluation, the intervention effect of this service is comprehensively analyzed. The case service has achieved certain results. It improves the emotion cognition ability and expression ability of the case owner, enhances the emotion adjustment ability, and stimulates the case owner to use emotion to pursue a better life. The evaluation results show that this case service has a positive effect on the improvement of children's emotion management ability. However, there are still some deficiencies in this intervention service.Due to time constraints, the intervention service is limited, and the follow-up service is not effectively carried out,so it is impossible to evaluate the late situation of the client; The single intervention activity is particularly insufficient in mobilizing the initiative of the case owner, and the case owner should pay attention to the convergence of various service stages while mobilizing the initiative of the case owner; The complexity of emotion management and limited services are difficult to ensure the continuity of intervention effect, and the ability of emotion management needs long-term training;Subjective evaluation results in the lack of objectivity; The limited number of cases and the multidimensional nature of children's emotional problems also make the research lack of popularization.
