Based on the author's internship experience in Bhaktapur in Nepal.This paper studies the applicability of Happy Chinese(English version),which is used by Genuine Secondary School in Nepal,through teaching practice,literature reference and questionnaire survey.According to the author's investigation,the result shows that the textbook "Happy Chinese(English version)" is not applicable in Nepal.In compiling Happy Chinese(English version),the editor has drawn on English syllabus and GCS1 exam syllabus,language and culture of middle schools in Britain or some Englishspeaking countries.Students in the Bhaktapur area of Nepal have a mother tongue of Nepali,and their teaching environment,academic characteristics and school conditions are different from those of students from English-speaking countries.Therefore,"Happy Chinese(English version)" teaching materials in the Bhaktapur area of Nepal is not strong applicabilityThis paper is divided into six parts.The first part mainly introduces the reason,purpose and meaning of the topic,the research methods and the definition of the applicability of the textbook.Through the combination of domestic and international research results,the author found that so far,"Happy Chinese(English version)" in Nepal on the applicability of the study has not yet.The second part is the current situation of the private primary and secondary schools in Bhaktapur,Nepal.Taking the Genuine Secondary School as an example,the author analyzes the general situation,teaching environment and learners' characteristics.The third part is mainly the "Happy Chinese(English version)" textbook research,focusing on the Happy Chinese textbook culture,vocabulary,text,a comprehensive understanding of the textbook.The fourth part mainly unifies "happy Chinese(English edition)" the teaching material and Genuine Secondary School actual situation to analyze its applicability,through the analysis of the teaching environment,language environment,cultural environment,school environment and the applicability to students,it is found that the applicability of the textbook in Nepal is not high.The fifth part is mainly in view of the happy Chinese in Bhaktapur area that applicability is not strong and put forward some considerations and feasible suggestions.The sixth part is mainly based on the Happy Chinese is not applicable in Nepal and put forward some suggestions on the preparation of teaching materials to help the preparation of local Chinese teaching materials in Nepal in the future.
