Since the publication of the Chinese Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School(2017 Edition),the whole book has once again entered the public's field of vision and become a research hotspot.But at present,the whole book is faced with the challenges of fragmentation of reading time,homogenization of teaching objectives and shallow teaching process in teaching practice.The educational concept contained in deep learning not only coincides with the demands of the new curriculum reform,but also provides theoretical guidance for the whole book reading teaching.Therefore,the paper tries to explore the connotation and characteristics of the whole book reading teaching from the theory of deep learning,and puts forward the teaching strategies.This research mainly uses the questionnaire survey method and the interview method two kinds of research methods.The specific research process and content are as follows: the first chapter is introduction,by explaining the background of the topic,as well as the literature review of "deep learning" and "the whole book reading teaching ",to sum up the shortcomings of the current research,so as to determine the significance of this study.The second chapter,based on deep learning,explores the connotation and characteristics of the whole book reading teaching,and analyzes the internal relationship between deep learning and the whole book reading teaching.The third chapter summarizes the problems existing in the reading teaching of the whole book through questionnaires and interviews of students and teachers in the two schools.The fourth chapter,from the perspective of deep learning,based on the problems existing in the reading teaching of the whole book,on the one hand,optimizes the teaching objectives and reflects the differences;on the other hand,deepens the teaching process.The fifth chapter,based on the theory of deep learning,carries out the reading teaching design of the whole book,and analyzes it.Through exploring the compatibility of deep learning and the whole book reading teaching,this paper finds that under the guidance of deep learning theory,it can effectively solve the problems of fragmentation of reading time,homogenization of teaching objectives and shallow teaching process,so as to improve students' reading ability and reading and writing ability and realize the teaching goal of spiritual growth.
