The rise and transformation of visual culture has put forward higher visual literacy requirements for the times,has put forward new challenges to fine arts education as well.With the continuous integration of China's educational concept with the international standards and the deepening of reform measures,the humane inclination of life-construction and the emphasis on key competencies in fine arts education have become more and more prominent.The concepts such as life curriculum and VISUAL LITERACY have become hot topics in art curriculum reform.As an art form which is more and more widely accepted by teenagers in China,picture books have full impacts on visual literacy cultivation,however,their advantages as educational carriers still have large spaces for research and development.In this thesis,picture books are integrated into fine arts lessons of junior middle school as teaching resources and tools,in order to explore the promoting effects and practical value on visual literacy developments.The thesis comprises four parts.Part1 combines the analysis on visual literacy developments,the students' situation of junior middle school stage and the curriculum standard of fines arts education,to provide preconditions for further research by illustrating the feasibility of the subject.Part2 investigates and analyzes the current application situation of picture books teaching in junior middle school in the form of questionnaire surveys and interviews.Part3,through the interpretation of the postmodern curriculum theory essences and its reference significance to picture books teaching,forms systematic teaching strategies of teaching objectives,contents,processes and evaluations,and teaching modes with both diversity and emphasis as well.Part4,on the basis of the research of teaching strategies and modes,arrives at a definite unit picture books teaching scheme covering the overall design ideas,unit teaching objectives,processes,etc,and reflects the implementation of the scheme via practice to further table teaching proposals.
