Rural revitalization and rural construction are the only way to realize our rural modernization.The burden of rural junior high school teachers is related to the construction of rural teachers,which directly affects the quality of rural education and the progress of rural construction.In recent years,the national policies continue to focus on the burden reduction of teachers.Chen Baosheng,Minister of Education,clearly proposed to reduce the burden on teachers at the National Education Work Conference in 2018 and the 2019 National Education Work Conference.The burden of rural junior middle school teachers,especially the work burden,has obvious particularity and needs to get the care and support from all walks of society.The theory of caring has important value and reference for the study of rural junior middle school teachers,which can become the perspective of teachers.Therefore,under the perspective of caring theory,we investigate the burden of rural junior middle school teachers,analyze the root causes of the burden of rural junior middle school teachers,seek corresponding burden reduction strategies,and have positive significance in strengthening the construction of rural teachers,promoting the quality of rural basic education,and speeding up the process of rural construction.This study summarizes the research results of domestic and foreign scholars in teacher burden and care theory,and analyzes the existing research results.Based on the rich achievements of existing research,the weaknesses of existing research.The paper mainly conducted a questionnaire survey and interview on the working time,workload,work pressure and non-teaching affairs of rural junior middle school teachers,and investigated the overall situation and specific situation of the work burden of rural junior middle school teachers in M City.The survey shows that rural junior middle school teachers work for a long time and exceed the legal working hours;the total amount of work inside and outside the school is large,which exceeds the appropriate limit;the work pressure is complex and heavy,beyond the bearing range.Combined with the perspective of caring theory,the analysis found that the care policy guaranteeing the reasonable burden of teachers is not sound;the school management does not reflect enough humanistic care concept;teachers have quite weak self-care awareness and care ability;low cooperation and support for teachers;and the society has failed to form a care force of respecting teachers and valuing care.In order to reduce the work burden of rural junior middle school teachers,the joint cooperation of the government,schools,teachers,students and society is needed.First,the government should provide care policy support to reduce the burden of teachers;second,schools should actively improve teacher working mechanism based on care concept;third,teachers actively improve care literacy and constantly optimize work burden experience;fourth,students should strive to support and cooperate with teacher work;fifth,the society should form a care force to reduce the burden of teachers.This study on the burden of rural junior middle school teachers,although the limited scope and investigation,theory of care,refinement of care strategy need to be further strengthened,but the research results still can provide useful reference for rural junior middle school teachers burden strategy,has positive practical significance.
