The first grade of junior high school is the initial stage of geography learning and an important stage of compulsory education.It plays an important role in connecting the past and the future.After investigation,in teaching practice,most geography teachers only value students with excellent geography performance.However,there are some students who do not have intellectual deficits.Due to their own reasons,their learning level is low,their grades fail to meet the requirements of education and teaching,and even have a sense of study-weariness.This article refers to this part of students as students with learning difficulties.Geography knowledge in junior high school has a certain foundation.Learning geography knowledge in junior high school and laying a solid foundation will have a positive impact on the learning effect in the future,and vice versa,it will have an adverse effect on geography learning.Based on this,this article is based on pedagogy and psychology related theories,using literature review method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and classroom observation method to analyze the causes of academic difficulties from four aspects: students,teachers,families,and schools,and put forward effective The transformation strategy aims to help students with learning difficulties get out of the "predicament",mobilize the enthusiasm of students with learning difficulties,cultivate their interest in learning geography,improve their geographical performance,and achieve comprehensive development.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Students with learning difficulties lack motivation,lack of patience,willpower,and even mental inertia.Some students with academic difficulties "dodge" problems that need to use their brains,and their performance is far below the average level of the class,and their self-esteem and confidence are frustrated;there are also students with academic difficulties who have sharp thinking and can reach the average level of the class in other subjects.The results are in the lower reaches.(2)Based on the questionnaire survey and the types of students with learning difficulties,this article concludes that there are internal and external reasons for the formation of "learning difficulties" in the first year of junior high school.Among them,the internal reasons mainly include improper learning methods,poor learning habits,insufficient learning motivation,etc.;external reasons mainly include teachers' rigid teaching methods,failure to use teaching feedback rationally,insufficient attention to review strategies,and unscientific Family education and schools do not pay enough attention to geography.(3)Aiming at the causes of the above-mentioned students with learning difficulties,it is proposed to guide students to make correct attributions of learning difficulties;stimulate their geographical interest and self-confidence in learning;change teachers educational and teaching concepts;form a relationship between students with learning difficulties,teachers and families Virtuous circle and other strategies.So as to optimize the learning behavior of students with learning difficulties and improve the quality of geography learning.
