"Reading pictures and thinking" is an important part of the teaching material activity system,which carries the important functions of spreading geographic knowledge,cultivating geographical skills and forming geographical literacy,and plays an important role in the geographical teaching materials and geographical curriculum standards.This paper studies the activity of "reading picture thinking" in the geography compulsory textbook of Human Education Edition by means of literature research,experimental research,interview and statistical analysis.Firstly,the paper briefly expounds the number,distribution,type and characteristics of the activity of "reading map thinking" in the compulsory textbooks of human education edition,and then discusses the "reading map thinking" activities and the topics and places of "Reading Pictures" in the past ten years college entrance examination The paper analyzes the relationship between the core qualities of the theory and analyzes the teaching status and problems of the activity of "reading map thinking" in a middle school in Manas County by means of interview and classroom observation.Finally,through teaching experiments,the teaching strategies suitable for the school learning conditions are summarized,which helps a line of teachers improve the classroom effect,so that students can better master the reading skills and improve the geographical ability.The results show that:(1)there are more activities of "reading pictures and thinking" in the teaching materials of senior high school students,and the number of activities increases with the deepening of learning.(2)The activity of "reading pictures and thinking" is closely related to the core geographical literacy and plays an important role in the cultivation of students' literacy.(3)The activity of "Reading Pictures" in textbooks is closely related to the real problems of "Reading Pictures" in college entrance examination over the years.The content of college entrance examination comes from textbooks.The form of the real questions is changeable,which requires high requirements for students' ability to read pictures.(4)Through interviews with teachers and students,the author analyzes the teaching status of "reading pictures and thinking" activities in geography subjects of a middle school in Ma county.It is mainly because the higher the attention to such activities is with the increase of teaching years,the deeper the understanding degree is.Most students have positive opinions on the current situation of teaching,and are interested in the teaching of "reading pictures and thinking".The main problems in teaching are not solid activity development,activity design perfunctory,development is in form,students are not ideal,students' level is different.(5)The teaching experiment is carried out,and different teaching methods are used to observe the teaching effect of "reading the picture thinking" activity.It is found that heuristic teaching method is more suitable for the actual situation of a middle school in Ma County than that of discovery teaching method.Finally,combining with interviews between teachers and students and classroom observation,we find some problems in teaching,analyze the reasons,and combine with the opinions of relevant experts in geography teaching field,and put forward relevant teaching countermeasures for the existing problems,which is conducive to improve the effect of the following senior high school geography teachers on the activity of reading the test.
