With the change and development of educational concepts,the traditional educational punishment methods are becoming more and more difficult to meet the needs of the modern education,which has been criticized by many ways.Moreover,because the relevant policies and regulations did not make clearly stipulate the methods and intensity of educational punishment.Educational punishment has become a relatively sensitive word in school,which results in a situation that the teacher do not talk about the punishment normally.In order to deeply understand the reality of educational punishment in rural schools,this paper uses the interview and observation to research on the current situation of educational punishment in X primary school in countryside,and explores the problems of educational punishment in X primary school,hoping to provide suggestions and references for rural school teachers to implement educational punishment reasonably.This thesis is divided into four parts: The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the reason for the topic selection,the purpose and significance of the research,the definition of the concept,the literature review and the research process.The second part is the status quo of research,including teachers’ understanding and behavior of educational punishment.At the same time,when describing the status quo,researchers pay attention to supplementing and confirming the observation clips and interview content,so as to ensure the accuracy and objectivity of the survey data.The third part is mainly to use educational knowledge to analyze the causes of the problems in the current research.The fourth part is reflection suggestions,mainly aiming at the existing problems and combining the reasons,and putting forward suggestions for the reasonable implementation of educational punishment.The study found that there are merits in the discipline behavior of X village primary school teachers.For example,teachers agree with the behavior of educational punishment,oppose corporal punishment,and punishment actions can vary from person to person.However,there are also problems in the punishment behavior of teachers in X rural elementary schools.For example,there is a deviation in their understanding of education punishment,there are behaviors of abandoning punishment and improper punishment,and the effect of implementing the punishment behavior in compliance with the norms is not good.Based on the above questions,researchers think about the causes of the problems from the perspectives of society,schools,teachers,and families.Finally,suggestions are made for teachers to improve their own punishment professionalism;schools to improve education punishment management;to strengthen home-school communication;to create a good public opinion.
