The proposal of new physics curriculum standard for junior middle school in 2011 means that the teacher need to establish a concept of“Students are the main body while teachers shall take themself as the leading role." The new curriculum standard requires teachers to fully respect the autonomy of students in teaching,thus they can get better development in this way.The teaching of physical concepts requires students to understand the physical meaning,clarify the apply conditions of these concepts,master the methods of research these concepts,and the ability to analyze and solve practical problems with them.Due to the lagging psychological and cognitive development of middle school students,image thinking still needed for them to understand the abstract things,their logical abstraction is insufficient at this time,it's more easy for them to use image thinking while learning something new.The application of concept diagram teaching in physics is in line with the concept of the new curriculum standard,the requirements of concept teaching,and the psychological characteristics of students.It uses literature research method to analyze and sort out the relevant concept diagram research at home and abroad,which defines the related concept diagram and middle school physics concept teaching,and expounds the theory of cognitive structure learning,meaningful learning and constructivism.It uses questionnaire method to understand students and teachers 'concept diagram,physical concept teaching and students' physical concept learning.The questionnaire survey found that students have a strong willingness to accept concept diagrams,while the concept diagram teaching is actually less used in teachers' class.The students think that physical concepts are abstract and boring,teachers have great interest in using concept diagram teaching,teachers' classroom teaching method needs to be improved,and students have difficulties in concept learning.It uses the educational experiment method to apply the concept diagram to the physics concept teaching of the new and review classes,observes the physical pre-test and post-test results of the experimental class and the control class,and interviews students from different levels of the experimental class.The teaching process of new class concept in the experimental class is:students preview before class,find key concepts and general concepts;teachers and students jointly build the concept diagram in class;and students supplement and improve the concept diagram after class.The process of review class concept teaching is:let the students review the knowledge points learned of a unit,list the key concepts and general concepts;group discussion and drawing the unit concept diagram;concept diagram display,perfect and supplement the concept diagram.Through the statistical analysis of the new class exercises and final exams in the experimental class and the control class,the application of concept diagrams in the concept teaching can help students understand concepts,master concepts and solve problems,so as to improve their physical performance.Especially in the final review stage of using the concept diagram for review,the effect is more definitely significant.Meanwhile,the boring of the original review class has been broken as well.The interview shows that students feel the concept of physics is clearer,the learning effect is better than before and students are willing to use concept diagrams.The application of concept diagram in the teaching of physics concept in the middle school can mobilize the enthusiasm of students,help students to form a systematic knowledge system,and truly use the knowledge learned to solve practical problems.
