The history of medicine is a scientific record of the dynamic changes of human life and ecological environment.The long tradition of medical research has created the humanistic history of medicine.Through the study of medical history,students' life awareness,scientific spirit and humanistic feelings can be cultivated,so as to improve their character.The teaching of medical history is inseparable from the implementation of core literacy,such as the study and understanding of traditional Chinese medicine,which can effectively stimulate students' national pride,enhance the national identity of young students,and cultivate students' feelings of home and country.As a humanities subject,history is all-encompassing.It can put medical issues in a broader perspective,think about the past and the present for a long time,and educate the people on medical and health care from a historical perspective,so as to improve the medical literacy of students.Enhance students' ability to cope with difficulties.In the actual high school history teaching,medical history is an integral part of the cultural history of science and technology,and the description of medical history in textbooks is often brief.Due to the constraints of practical conditions such as the defects in the compilation of middle school textbooks,for many years,the teaching of medical history has not been paid enough attention to in the teaching of middle school history.By sorting out the contents of medical history in various editions of high school history textbooks,the author investigated the current situation of medical history teaching in high school history teaching and found that there are problems such as relatively simple teaching content and single teaching method in medical history teaching in high school history teaching.The causes of the problem involve the compilation of history textbooks,teachers' teaching concepts,students' learning interests and imperfect teaching evaluation mechanism.The teaching of medical history should reflect the special laws of medicine on the basis of following the general laws and principles of history teaching.First of all,we must follow the principle of combining cognition and experience;secondly,we must give full play to the life-guiding function of medicine and reflect the practical principle of medical history;finally,we must emphasize the principle of integration.The teaching of medical history should follow certain teaching strategies.The first is to change the traditional concept that teachers attach importance to examinations and despise the teaching of medical history;secondly,to improve teachers' professional knowledge of medical history;finally,in addition to traditional history courses,schools can open up a second classroom based on the five core literacy of history disciplines,namely The school-based curriculum leads students to create and experience historical situations to meet their different developmental needs.This article preliminarily verified the value of medical history teaching and the feasibility of implementing strategies through the teaching practice of the lesson "Black Death in the Middle Ages-Demons and Angels".As for how to optimize the teaching of medical history in middle school history,further research is needed.
