In recent years,the curriculum reform of ordinary senior high schools regards "cultivating people by virtue" as the fundamental task of education,and emphasizes the educational ability of disciplines.Geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition,2020Revision)promulgated and implemented by the Ministry of Education in 2020 clearly stated in the "Curriculum Concept" that students should "have national feelings and global perspectives,and form awareness of paying attention to local,national and global geographical issues and sustainable development issues".The regional cognitive literacy of geography can enable students to fully understand the geographical environment characteristics of their hometown and motherland,and has irreplaceable educational value and discipline characteristics.How to carry out the education of devotion to family and country from the perspective of regional cognition and integrate the education of devotion to family and country into the curriculum system of geography in senior high schools has become a topic worthy of exploration and research.By means of literature research,comparative analysis,questionnaire survey and case teaching,this paper makes a theoretical and practical study on devotion to family and country in the context of geography in senior high schools.First of all,the starting point and direction of this study are clarified by studying the present situation of the education of devotion to family and country in geography courses at home and abroad.On the basis of in-depth study of concepts such as regional cognition and devotion to family and country,this paper explores the connotation of devotion to family and country in senior high school geography from the perspective of regional cognition,and discusses the feasibility of education of feelings of home and country from the perspective of regional cognition based on humanistic and constructivist learning theories.Secondly,using the method of questionnaire survey,this paper investigates the current situation of high school geography education of devotion to family and country from the perspective of regional cognition,and finds out the existing problems in the education of devotion to family and country in the current high school geography curriculum,including students' lack of attention and understanding of the development and new changes of their hometown and motherland,large gaps in students' basic geographical knowledge of devotion to family and country and relatively single educational methods of devotion to family and country,etc.In addition,this paper combs the content of devotion to family and country education in the PEP high school geography textbook published in 2019,digs deep into the expansion of the content of devotion to family and country education and teaching suggestions in compulsory textbooks,and constructs the process mechanism of devotion to family and country education in high school geography.Through the in-depth study of textbooks,the development principles,material selection basis and development strategies of high school geography education cases of devotion to family and country are obtained.Finally,combined with the principles,basis and strategies of the above-mentioned educational case development,the specific teaching cases in the compulsory and elective curriculum system are designed,so that students can master the knowledge of regional geography,improve their regional cognitive literacy and enhance their devotion to family and country,and provide a reference for front-line teachers to carry out the education and teaching practice of devotion to family and country from the perspective of regional cognition.
