Since the new history textbook was published,many teachers and scholars have conducted deep researches and discussions.On the whole,most of the researches are related to the text or the teaching process.However,they didn't pay much attention to the illustrations of the new textbook.So this paper focuses on the illustrations of the new history textbooks.It tries to analyze the number and arrangement of the illustrations and prove the importance of using illustrations to teach.Also,it tries to find the way to help students build core literacy and key skills by using illustrations in history teaching.There are five chapters of this paper.Firstly,focusing on the research of the Chinese new history textbook illustrations,the article introduces the research's background,defines the key words,shows the research situation at home and abroad,and clarifies the research methods and the research goalsThe second chapter analyzes the statistics of the illustrations,and examines the characteristics and changes of the illustrations by comparing three different history textbooks.Thirdly,the author divides all the illustrations into many different types,which includes maps,characters,objects,scenes,old sites,tables,comics,and examines the arrangement of each type of illustrations in the new history textbooks.Then,The article studies the connections of the illustrations in the new history textbooks,and attempts to explore the association of illustrations from the angle of whole new history textbooks,so as to find out the precautions for using illustrations in teaching.Finally,the article mainly extracts the precautions for the use of illustrations in teaching from the above illustration research.
