The PE teaching activities of secondary vocational schools are an important part of vocational education.Its training goal is to provide the society with professional and technical personnel and high-quality labor.The quality of PE teaching determines the professional and sports skills,professional quality and physical fitness of secondary vocational students.The basic situation of physical education in 14 secondary vocational schools in Wuhan was investigated through literature data method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,etc.,and takes the relevant situation of physical education as the research object.From the aspects of teachers,PE teaching and students to understand the current status of PE teaching in secondary vocational schools in Wuhan and analyze the main problems that exist.Conclusion as below:(1)The problem of PE teachers covers a wide range: the gender ratio and age structure are unreasonable,the existing teachers do not match the teaching needs;the low scientific research and teaching research results hinder the evaluation of professional titles by teachers,and the high degree of class saturation results in low job satisfaction.(2)The elements of PE teaching do not fit well: teachers attach importance to the realization of the teaching content and objectives of the basic modules,and ignore the improvement of students' professional modules and quality;the combination of traditional and modern physical education methods is not high;emphasize the evaluation of teachers and students' attitudes,abilities,effects(achievements),etc.,and ignore their self-evaluation;PE teaching environment and facilities can meet the needs of basic modules,but its utilization rate is low and there is no physical education environment and facilities for expansion modules.(3)Students' physical learning awareness is low: the consciousness of sports is not strong,and the motivation and attitude to participate in physical education activities is to complete exams to obtain credits,rather than improve physical,technical,psychological and professional quality;contradictions such as teaching facilities have caused students to be less interested,but students recognize the relaxed physical classroom management model;a variety of factors restrict students' acquisition of sports health knowledge and mastery of sports skills.Suggestions as below:(1)Fully optimize the structure of physical education teachers and improve job satisfaction: optimize the talent echelon structure and professional title evaluation system of secondary vocational PE teachers,increase the introduction of dual talents and continuous education of on-the-job teachers to consolidate the strength of teachers and improve the job satisfaction of PE teachers;(2)Integrate all elements of PE teaching to achieve optimization: establish a combination of basic and expanded modules for PE teaching content with secondary vocational characteristics,flexibly use traditional and modern teaching methods,choose a reasonable teaching organization form,establish a scientific feedback evaluation system,improve the teaching environment and facilities conditions,and constitute teaching elements Join forces to achieve PE teaching goals;(3)Effectively stimulate students' interest in sports and improve their sense of achievement: increase the interest of secondary vocational students in participating in physical education activities through multiple channels,correct the motivation and attitude of physical exercise,and achieve a win-win situation of professional theoretical and sports health knowledge,physical and professional qualities,sports nd professional skills.
