This study focuses on the situations where children's autonomy and compliance may conflict, and explores the status quo of teachers' ethical awareness and ethical considerations in decision-making in the dilemma of children's autonomy and compliance.Through semi-structured in-depth interviews with 21 female kindergarten teachers, this paper aims to understand the dilemma of children's autonomy and compliance that they have encountered in their teaching work, and obtain their feelings, ideas, decisions and explanations for the dilemma. The study found that most of the teachers in the dilemma situation faced some difficulties in decision-making,but some teachers did not feel "dilemma" in decision-making.The factors considered by teachers in decision-making mainly include kindergarten rules and regulations, class allocation conditions and the rationality and consequences of children's independent action. On this basis,in-depth analysis found that ethical considerations are also an important part of teachers' decision-making factors. The content of teachers' ethical considerations is mainly reflected in their adherence to the four ethical principles of children oriented, educational justice,Educational conscience and democratic consultation. The study also found that some teachers have weak ethical awareness in decision-making,mainly in three aspects: teachers ignore children's rights and interests in decision-making,teachers narrow the scope of children's autonomy, and teachers can not maintain the necessary fair attitude in the face of children's violations. For the reasons of teachers' weak sense of decision-making ethics, this study mainly analyzes from five aspects: first, teachers' understanding of "rules" is biased;Second, teachers ignore children's dominant position because they are young;Thirdly, teachers' decision-making is restricted;Fourth, teachers work according to the process and lack decision-making consciousness;Fifthly, teachers misunderstand children's "violation" performance.Based on the above survey, this study puts forward suggestions on how to improve teachers' decision-making level in the dilemma of children's autonomy and compliance from four perspectives: Education Department, main Department of teacher ethics training, kindergarten managers and kindergarten teachers themselves.
