As an important part of Chinese teaching,extracurricular reading is an integral part of students' Chinese learning.The new curriculum standard of Chinese clearly points out the importance of extracurricular reading,and specifically quantifies the total amount that students should read at each stage.However,various survey data in recent years show that there are many problems in rural primary school students' extracurricular reading.Due to the influence of schools and families,extracurricular reading has not received due attention,especially for the lower grade primary school students.Due to various factors,the amount of extracurricular reading is almost zero.Under such a realistic situation,the author determines how to solve the problem of the lack of extracurricular reading of the lower grade students in rural primary schools as the key and difficult point of this study.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly explains the question,research significance,domestic and foreign research summary,research ideas and research methods,the definition of core concepts and the theoretical basis of this paper.The second part investigates the present situation of extracurricular reading of junior students in rural primary schools,and randomly distributes questionnaires to the first and second grade students in rural primary schools.The questionnaires mainly focus on six dimensions of extracurricular reading attitude,extracurricular reading volume,extracurricular reading content selection,extracurricular reading methods,extracurricular reading conditions,extracurricular reading process and result evaluation.At the same time,further interviews were randomly conducted with the class teacher,students and parents,and the present situation of extracurricular reading of junior students in rural primary schools was deeply understood through the results of questionnaires and interviews.The third part mainly discusses the existing problems according to the survey results.And analyze the causes of the existing problems from the student level,teacher level,parents level and school level,and strive to improve the extracurricular reading of the lower grade students in rural primary schools from objective and subjective factors.The fourth part puts forward the corresponding strategies for the problems existing in the extracurricular reading of the lower grade students in rural primary schools,mainly from the point that teachers should change their ideas and lead students into extracurricular reading,with the help of guiding students to do extracurricular reading,and actively creating conditions for families and campuses to encourage students to enjoy extracurricular reading.The field of extracurricular reading is vast and profound,and my research is only the tip of the iceberg.I need to work together with more scholars to develop this field.
