The family planning policy has effectively controlled the growth rate of our country's population and reduced the burden on the environment and resources. However, the resulting one-child families are facing certain risks—maybe because the only child has died in an accident or suffered a disease.Become an independent family.Parents who lose only have to face many physical, life, and pension difficulties as their peers increase with age,but they also have to endure emotional and spiritual pain and suffering for a long time.As a social group that needs urgent attention, the government has issued relevant policies and adopted various rescue methods for families who have lost their soles. However, most of them are provided in terms of economic, material and basic living guarantees, and the most important for families who have lost their soles. The prominent spiritual dilemma cannot be remedied, which further deepens their dependence on society. The author learned from home visits that the lack of spiritual support for families who lost their soles is serious.Compared with other aspects such as economy and old-age care, those who lost their soles have more urgent spiritual needs such as emotional counseling, emotional sustenance, and social support.Based on this, this research uses a superior perspective as theoretical guidance, uses casework to intervene in the mental dilemma of families who have lost only one,to help them rebuild their confidence in life, rekindle their hopes in life, return to normal life, and eventually recover. In this study,we take a single family in city B as the overall investigation target, analyze the mental difficulties and spiritual needs of the single family through preliminary survey and household visits, then select a family who lost their soles in city B as the case object to intervene in the research, and through ten times of case interventions in eight stages and multiple telephone return visits in the complete practical process. In the course of the study,we helped the clients to explore their own strengths(cognitive, economic, and social)and their environment(family support, peers and neighbors, and community),guided them to use their strengths and potentials to get out of their spiritual dilemmas and achieve self-recovery,and finally put forward suggestions and reflections on the intervention of the strengths perspective in the spiritual dilemmas of families without a family.Through the exploratory research on the use of individual cases to intervene in the mental dilemma of the group who lost independence,it is found that intervening with a superior perspective is effective and feasible.Social work adheres to the basic principle of "helping others and helping others",exploring ways to stimulate the internal potential of the group who have lost their independence, restore their resilience, guide the people who have lost their independence to learn to interact with the external environment, empower themselves, and finally go out Dilemma, realize self-help.
