| With the mathematics of society,the application of mathematics is becoming more and more extensive.Mathematical reading is an important activity for people to acquire knowledge and understand the world.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,mathematics education should not only enable students to master the knowledge and skills necessary for modern social life,but also cultivate students’ thinking expression and self-learning ability.Curriculum standards advocate multiple learning styles,and students should learn to learn on their own.Reading is the main way of autonomous learning,and reading in mathematics has gradually become a basic skill for students to learn mathematics.The learning of mathematics is inseparable from reading,so it is very important to improve students’ mathematical reading ability.This paper firstly sorts out the current related research on mathematics reading,using literature method,questionnaire survey method,test paper method,interview method and classroom observation method,focusing on "what is the current situation of high school students’ mathematics reading","what is the reason for the existence of the problem" ","What are the strategies to improve high school students’ math reading ability?" to conduct research.After analyzing the survey results,it is concluded that the reasons for the current situation of mathematics reading among senior high school students are as follows:(1)lack of understanding of mathematics reading;(2)low reading interest and lack of internal driving force;(3)relatively lack of mathematics reading methods and insufficient reading training(4)Poor self-monitoring ability and poor reading habit in the reading process;(5)Inadequate use of reading materials in class,single lack of extra-curricular reading materials;(6)Poor math reading ability,and there are obstacles in the reading process.Based on the above results,combined with relevant theoretical research and practical experience,this paper proposes strategies to improve high school students’ mathematics reading ability from the perspective of teachers and students: In terms of teachers,(1)stimulate mathematics reading motivation;(2)provide mathematics reading time;(3)Teaching math reading methods.In terms of students,(1)enhance the awareness of mathematics reading;(2)develop the habit of mathematics reading;(3)attach importance to the repetition of mathematics textbooks;(4)carry out a moderate amount of extracurricular reading. |
