The physical fitness of students has always been a major concern in school sports,and the school sports curriculum is in the process of being improved for this purpose,but the level of physical fitness of students is still a cause for concern.In recent years,the physical health of students has also become a growing concern for parents.Therefore,it is imperative that the physical education curriculum is improved and students' physical fitness levels are raised.In this study,the Cross Fit training system created by Greg Glassman in the United States is incorporated into the secondary school physical education curriculum in China,and the cycle plan,content and intensity of Cross Fit training are downgraded to make it conform to the actual secondary school physical education curriculum in China and adapt to the physiological and psychological characteristics of students.Based on the design of the Cross Fit PE programme,the research methods of literature,expert interview,experiment,mathematical statistics and logical analysis were used to compare the physical fitness test scores of students before and after the experiment through 9 weeks of teaching the traditional PE programme and the Cross Fit PE programme,and to explore the effects of the Cross Fit PE programme on students' physical form,physiological functions,The study was conducted to investigate the effects of Cross Fit PE on students' physical form,physiological function,reaction speed,flexibility,muscular endurance,lower limb explosive strength and endurance.From the above study,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)In terms of physical form and physiological function,both Cross Fit and traditional PE programme had an effect on students' physical form,but the overall difference was not significant.(2)The Cross Fit programme had a significant effect on the students' reaction time.(3)The Cross Fit programme had a significant effect on the flexibility of the girls.(4)The Cross Fit PE programme had a significant effect on the improvement of students' muscle strength.(5)The Cross Fit PE programme has a significant effect on the explosive power of the lower limbs of students.(6)The Cross Fit PE programme had a significant effect on the endurance quality of the girls.Based on the above findings,this study makes the following recommendations:(1)It is recommended that the Cross Fit training system be incorporated into the secondary school physical education curriculum,which can effectively improve students' reaction speed,muscle strength,lower limb explosive power and endurance qualities.(2)In designing the Cross Fit PE programme,emphasis should be placed on improving students' physical form,physiology and flexibility,so that students can develop their physical fitness in a coordinated manner during PE lessons.(3)The intensity of Cross Fit training and the proportion of the curriculum are reasonably adjusted to take into account the physiological and psychological characteristics of secondary school students,which can motivate students to participate in sports and enhance their teamwork ability and sense of competition.
