In the new era,talent training has increasingly become an important factor affecting social development.Based on the needs of national strategy and the adjustment and change of majors,some majors that do not meet the trend of economic and social development are gradually canceled or stopped,and some majors are classified as distribution majors.Therefore,there are unpopular majors corresponding to popular majors in China's higher education system.However,unpopular majors also carry the social value of promoting development.In this context,the cultivation of unpopular professionals has increasingly become a matter of concern.Therefore,improving the training quality of unpopular professionals has become an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the professional life cycle theory and the basic functions of higher education,this study uses the methods of literature research and investigation to make an empirical study on the current situation and influencing factors of the cultivation of unpopular professionals.This paper analyzes the data of the questionnaire.The following findings are drawn: at present,the main problems of talent training of unpopular majors are as follows: the main links of talent training of unpopular majors need to be strengthened,especially the support of all parties and the psychological construction of students;there are significant differences in the evaluation of the training quality of students with different school attributes and different grades.Through structural interviews and practical analysis and research,this paper illustrates the causes affecting the development of talent training of unpopular majors,mainly including: large categories of enrollment lead to the differentiation of popular and unpopular majors,leading to the transformation of some majors from popular majors to unpopular majors;traditional talent training methods can not adapt to the training of unpopular professionals,which is restricted by traditional talent training or traditional ideas;with psychological burden,the students are under pressure and lack confidence in the study of unpopular majors.Based on the above research,it is suggested to take targeted countermeasures from three dimensions to improve the training quality of unpopular professionals: from the perspective of the main links of unpopular professionals,we should focus on the training objectives of unpopular professionals,improve the training process,improve the training system and reform the quality evaluation method;from the national perspective,we should pay more attention to strengthen rectification and improve the top-level design;from the perspective of students,we should strengthen the psychological construction of students,improve career planning,and enhance the understanding and recognition of unpopular majors.Only by constantly improving the development of unpopular majors can we further improve the quality of talent training,coordinate the development of colleges and universities,and improve the quality and efficiency of talent training of unpopular majors.
