Journalistic works are the most common type of texts that people come across in their daily lives.They have been included in senior secondary language teaching materials for many years and have become an important part of senior secondary language teaching.This thesis,through a survey and study of students and front-line teachers in ordinary high schools,finds that the following problems exist in the teaching of journalism: from the students' level,firstly,they are not interested in journalism in class and the learning effect is not good;secondly,the learning motivation is more utilitarian and the tendency to take tests is obvious.From the teacher's perspective,one is that the teaching objectives are rather schematic and the training of journalistic thinking is lacking;two is that the teaching resources are mainly text in class and there is a lack of current hot news;three is that the teaching is mainly lecture method and the practicality of journalism is not given full play;four is that the teaching evaluation tends to be test-based and the effectiveness of evaluation needs to be improved.By digging deeper into the reasons for this,this paper argues that the above problems exist in the current teaching of journalism,largely because the relevant concepts in the new curriculum have not been fully implemented.In order to better optimise the teaching of journalism,this thesis argues that teachers need to redefine the teaching of journalism in the context of the new situation.Learning task clusters are a new learning concept and teaching style proposed by the new curriculum.In order to better respond to the curriculum reform and improve the teaching of journalistic works,this thesis combines the learning task cluster and the teaching of journalistic works and proposes the following teaching strategies: Firstly,the teaching objectives of journalistic works should be optimised.According to the learning requirements of the learning task group,this thesis proposes the following teaching strategies to optimise the teaching objectives of journalistic works: firstly,to optimise the teaching objectives of journalistic works.The second is the development of resources for teaching journalism.The methods of resource development are proposed in three aspects: making rational use of teaching materials,exploring hot topics of current affairs and using the Internet.This thesis proposes specific methods for designing journalism tasks from three aspects: creating learning tasks based on teaching objectives;clarifying task logic,dividing task levels and creating realistic situations to form task carriers.Fourthly,the thesis presents the specific forms of learning activities for journalistic works from the basic types of learning activities and the stylistic features of journalistic works,from reading and appreciation activities based on the combination of points and surfaces,designing discursive expression activities with the help of thinking tools and arranging journalistic writing activities by focusing on the combination of reading and writing.Fifthly,they grasp the stylistic features of journalistic works and construct an assessment system suitable for teaching journalistic works,seeking to improve the current assessment of teaching journalistic works.By grasping and deepening the above strategies,teachers aim to promote the normalisation of journalistic work learning and improve the effectiveness of journalistic work teaching.
