The new curriculum points out that the basis of chemistry teaching reform is to change students' learning methods,advocate inquiry-based teaching,guide students to participate actively,train students' chemical information acquisition and processing skills,cooperative communication and problem-solving abilities.POE(predictionobservation-Explanation)teaching strategy evolved from the research method of exploring students' understanding of science.Under the guidance of this strategy,teachers can guide students to actively construct new knowledge.The combination of POE teaching strategy and inquiry teaching can better cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability,and help teachers timely understand students' pre-concepts and transform them into scientific concepts.Firstly,this paper sorted out the research status of POE teaching strategy and inquiry teaching by consulting a large number of literature,and then integrated the two.Then,questionnaire survey was used to understand the current status of students' inquiry learning.Finally,"chemical balance" and "alkane" were selected for teaching design.Experimental research and data analysis are used to test the teaching effect.The article consists of the following five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly makes an integrated analysis of relevant literature,introduces the research status of POE teaching strategy and inquiry-based teaching at home and abroad,and defines the research purpose,content and method.The second part is the theoretical basis,defining the relevant basic theoretical knowledge and concepts.The third part is the compilation,measurement and analysis of the survey tools,through the questionnaire survey to understand the status of students' inquiry-based learning,to analyze the existing problems.The fourth part is teaching design cases and implementation as well as teaching effect test,choose "chemical balance" and "alkane" two parts of the content of teaching design,and then through the self-written questions,students of the two classes were tested before and after.The results showed that there was a significant difference between the two classes,indicating that the exploratory teaching under POE strategy played a positive role in improving students' chemistry scores.At the same time,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the students' learning experience of POE teaching strategy in the experimental class,and it was found that the students had a high recognition of this teaching method.The last part summarizes the research conclusions,combining POE teaching strategy with inquiry teaching and applying it to classroom teaching,students' academic performance has improved,and their inquiry ability has also been improved to varying degrees.Finally,it is hoped that this study can provide a reference for the teaching practice of front-line chemistry teachers.
