In 2019,the CPC Central Committee and The State Council issued the Opinions on Deepening Education and Teaching Reform to Comprehensively Improve the Quality of Compulsory Education,which clearly proposed the integration of traditional and modern technological means and emphasis on situational teaching,which reflected the importance of the Party and the country to reform teaching methods and improve the quality of education.Ideological and political courses as the implementation of the fundamental task of moral education,the middle school stage is an important stage to form correct values,moral and legal courses are of great significance to the growth of students.Therefore,teachers of morality and rule of law in junior middle schools should optimize teaching methods and improve teaching effects.Situational teaching method is intrinsically compatible with moral and rule of law teaching in junior high school.In moral and rule of law teaching in junior high school,situational teaching method constantly plays its teaching advantages,which can not only let students experience emotion and life in teaching,but also improve their moral quality and awareness of rule of law.This paper uses questionnaire survey method,interview method,case analysis method and other methods to carry out research,starting with the connotation,theoretical basis and characteristics of situational teaching method,and analyzes the significance of situational teaching method in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior middle school.In teaching practice,influenced by teachers,students and teaching evaluation,there are still some problems in the application of situational teaching method in the selection of situational materials,the way of presentation,the effect of activities,and the summary of situations.The main reasons are that some teachers lack the ability to screen situational materials,the ability to create situational teaching is insufficient,the inner motivation of students' learning is insufficient and the evaluation mechanism of situational teaching is imperfect.Issues surrounding the situational teaching method in the implementation process,from the situation of material selection,teaching present situation,the activities of the situation teaching strategy and the summary of the strategy of situational teaching,for junior high school teachers morality and the rule of law to promote their teaching ability,maximizing the situational teaching method in junior high school the significance of morality and the rule of law course teaching.
