The "Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Several Major Issues Concerning Comprehensively Deepening the Reform" reviewed and approved by the Third Plenary Session of the18 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly stated that school physical education should "strengthen physical education classes and extracurricular exercises to promote physical and mental health and physical fitness of young people".At the 2018 National Education Conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly put forward the "four-in-one" goal of giving full play to the value function of school sports,so that students can enjoy fun,enhance their physique,improve their personality,and temper their will.The implementation of the high school entrance examination system for physical education has raised the general awareness of physical education from all walks of life,aroused the attention of schools,parents,teachers and students to school physical education,and the status of physical education has been significantly improved.Under the influence of exam-oriented education,utilitarianism will inevitably occur in school physical education and students' participation in after-school physical exercise.Therefore,this study attempts to provide a reference for the reform of the physical education entrance examination in Guiyang by investigating the situation of physical education in junior high schools in Guiyang City and students' participation in after-school physical exercise under the background of the reform of the physical education high school entrance examination.Students participate in after-school physical exercise habits and lifelong sports awareness to achieve the "four-in-one" education goal.This paper adopts the research methods such as questionnaire survey method,literature data method,mathematical statistics method,interview method,etc.,based on teaching theory,physical education teaching theory,school physical education,and general physical education,to discuss the physical education teachers of Guiyang junior high school under the background of physical education high school entrance examination.,students,physical education and the situation of students' after-school physical exercise,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The Guiyang Sports High School Entrance Examination will start the trial implementation of "one test a year" for the seventh-grade students enrolled in the fall of 2019,which will be included in the total score of the Sports High School Entrance Examination.The content of the examination is no longer the "National Physical Health Standards",and the learning attitude of physical education and the examination results of physical education in the semester have been added.The middle and long-distance running is a compulsory test every year,and the summative evaluation is changed to a process evaluation.(2)The reform of the high school entrance examination system for physical education in Guiyang has played a positive role in strengthening the school's physical education work and improving the status of physical education subjects and physical education teachers.The initiative of students to study physical education in class and participate in extracurricular physical exercise is enhanced.(3)The reform of the middle school entrance examination for physical education in Guiyang has increased the investment in school sports venues and facilities,the content of physical education teaching is more abundant,the teaching objectives are clearer,and the incentive effect of teaching evaluation is more obvious.(4)Schools are the most important place for students to participate in after-school physical exercise,followed by communities;the number of students in urban areas who choose physical training institutions for after-school physical exercise is significantly higher than that in county towns.Students tend to choose their favorite sports and physical education entrance examination items for extra-curricular physical exercise.(5)Enhancing physical fitness and improving physical performance are the main purposes for students to participate in extracurricular physical exercise.The frequency,time and intensity of students participating in extracurricular physical exercise have been improved,and boys are obviously better than girls,but there are still some gaps with the requirements of relevant national policies.
