Quality is the lifeline of higher education.For a long time,although the quality of talent cultivation in higher education institutions has always been the focus of academic circles,there are few studies on academic transcripts based on the purpose of improving the quality of talent cultivation.Undergraduates' academic transcripts,which reflect students' comprehensive quality and ability,are an important part of daily education and teaching activities in higher education institutions,and are also an "index" that reflects the quality of undergraduate talent cultivation.Researching academic transcripts of undergraduates in higher education institutions is an important way and necessary support to improve the quality of undergraduate talent cultivation in China,a practical need to achieve the "four new" reform and development,and an important measure to promote the reform of education and teaching evaluation.Due to the insufficient attention and vague understanding of academic transcripts in current research,in order to better understand and realize the value of academic transcripts in talent cultivation,this paper takes undergraduates' academic transcripts as the research theme,and uses total quality management theory as the theoretical basis,and193 undergraduates' academic transcripts from 140 higher education institutions are selected for text analysis.Following the analysis framework of "the number and type of courses-the value and structure of credits-the expression and conversion of grades",this paper presents the current status of undergraduate transcripts,indicates that the current academic transcripts of undergraduate generally have problems such as incomplete content elements,single evaluation form,and irregular grade point conversion methods,which affect the high-quality development of higher education.In order to optimize the academic transcripts of undergraduates,truly exert the supervision,warning and incentive role of academic transcripts in improving the quality of education,it is suggested to adhere to the high-quality construction of education and teaching management,and start the reform of transcripts from the following aspects: first,value clarification,prompting higher education institutions to re-examine academic transcripts;second,system optimization,building a reference frame for college academic transcripts;third,strengthen quality guarantee,and urge higher education institutions to scientifically manage transcripts;fourth,model innovation,and establish a modern performance information management platform.
