Originated in Oxford University,the undergraduate tutorial system aims at one-to-one academic guidance.The tutor cultivates students' critical thinking and promotes their innovation ability in the form of reading and discussion.In order to implement the course selection system and credit system better,Harvard University had introduced the undergraduate tutorial system.It can provide life consultation and study guidance for students and help them develop in an all-round way.Since the 21 st century,domestic colleges and universities began to learn from foreign undergraduate tutorial system.In the process of practice,the undergraduate tutorial system not only promotes the reform of education,but also makes a certain contribution to the cultivation of undergraduate talents.However,because of system grafting,the phenomenon of "acclimatize" appears inevitably,the operation also exposed some urgent problems to be solved.This study will take one of First-class Universities and Disciplines of the World as an example to investigate the operation status of the undergraduate tutorial system,analyze the problems and the cause.Based on summarizing the achievements,put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to provide reference for the development of first-class undergraduate education.Summarize and sort out relevant literature,which provided the research basis for this study.This research investigate the implementation status of undergraduate tutorial system in L University by questionnaires and interviews.The results of the survey show that tutors and students have a high recognition of the system and that plays an overall role in education.But at the same time there are some problems to be solved urgently: Goal is not clear,the system positioning is not clear,and the supervisors are not aware of responsibilities;Practice process is negative,tutors' arbitrary guidance and students' coping participation are prominent;Guarantee measures are insufficient,there are lack of supporting management system and hardware conditions,teachers;Evaluation is not high,the college does not pay attention to the implementation of the system,and supervisors' work evaluation is average;The incentive means are limited,and the incentive to the tutors and students is insufficient.Based on the above conclusions,the optimization strategy of undergraduate tutorial system is proposed by combining theory and practice.First of all,strengthen the system construction,formulate clear goals and requirements,and implement supervision and management to ensure the system work,especially the participation of tutor and students;Secondly,provide activities resources and create external guidance conditions.Again,take different incentive means for the tutor and students to stimulate their enthusiasm;Finally,enhance sense of responsibility,consciously fulfill the responsibilities,and achieve effective guidance.
