At this stage,the 2019 high school physics textbook has been put into use in teaching,and illustrations,as an important part of the textbook,complement the content of the text and are an indispensable and important resource for teaching.In the teaching of physics classroom,teachers should pay attention to the educational role of illustration and better play its educational function.In this paper,the author conducts research on the application of illustrations in the 2019 high school physics textbook,aiming to provide a teaching reference for high school physics teachers.First of all,the starting point of the research on the application of illustration is classification research,and this paper divides textbook illustrations into eight types:chapter head diagram,course introduction diagram,life science and technology diagram,exercise diagram,physics history diagram,experimental schematic diagram,text diagram,and decorative diagram according to Meyer’s classification of illustration and the function of illustration.According to these eight types,the illustrations of the 2019 High School Physics textbook were analyzed.The analysis shows that the 2019 high school physics textbook is very rich in illustrations,has strong research value,and has the characteristics of scientific intuitiveness,strong practicality,and focusing on the core literacy of physics.At the same time,it is found that the explanatory illustrations and exercise charts in the illustrations of this edition of the textbook account for a relatively large proportion,and the overall structure is reasonable.Secondly,based on the classification types of illustrations,according to the different educational functions of various types of illustrations in the textbook,the application strategies of different types of illustrations are proposed,namely:(1)the application of curriculum introduction diagrams to improve self-efficacy;(2)The figure in the text breaks the stereotype and standardizes the way of cognition;(3)Use decorative drawings for aesthetic education;(4)Problem maps strengthen students’ problem-solving thinking;(5)The contextualized teaching of illustration cultivates students’ imagination.Finally,taking "Planetary Motion" as a specific teaching case,the illustration application strategy is combined with the teaching case to test the feasibility of the strategy.Through the design of comparative experimental teaching,the effectiveness of the application strategy of illustration is tested.Through questionnaire research,students’ gains and opinions were tested from three dimensions.With the help of SPSS software,statistical analysis of data results is carried out.It is hoped that the research on the application of illustration discussed in this paper will provide some teaching reference and help for the teaching of high school physics teachers in the region.
