In the new round of curriculum reform,the "guiding-discovering" teaching mode,which highlights the students' dominant position in classroom learning,is highly consistent with the teaching concept of the new curriculum reform,and has become a hot topic in teaching research since the new curriculum reform.In recent years,many scholars and front-line teachers have carried out researches on "guiding-discovering" teaching model both theoretically and practically,and it has also been widely used in the teaching of all the subjects but in the physical education,so the application of "guiding-discovering" teaching mode in the teaching of high school PE class is worthy of exploration.In this thesis,"guiding-discovering" teaching mode is applied to the physical education classroom teaching in a senior high school so as to verify whether the "guiding-discovering" teaching mode can have a positive impact on students' physical quality,sports skills,interest and self-confidence in physical education classroom learning through experiment.The results show that:(1)After the experiment,the scores of the two groups in the three special physical fitness subjects including 50-meter running,sit and reach and standing long jump were all improved.The difference before and after the experiment was very significant(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P >0.05).(2)After the experiment,the results of endurance running,fixed-point pad,lower hand serve,standing shot and running shot between the two groups have been significantly improved(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in the performance of sports skills between the two groups(P<0.05).The performance of students' sports skills in the experimental group was better than that of the students in the control group.(3)After the experiment,the students in the experimental group had a significant improvement in the level of self-confidence and the level of interest in physical education learning's five dimensions(P<0.01),while the students' grades in the control group had no significant difference before and after the experiment(P>0.05),and there was an obvious difference between the students' grades of the two groups(P<0.05).
