The situational approach is a teaching method in which teachers create or introduce certain situations to stimulate students’ emotional experiences.This teaching method can be applied in high school ideology and politics class to fully stimulate students’ desire and interest in learning,attract students to participate in learning,inspire them to think and explore problems,enhance the class experience in the teaching context,improve students’ ability to solve problems in the situation,and thus improve the teaching effect of high school ideology and politics class.At present,there are still some problems in the application of situational teaching method in high school ideology and politics class.On the basis of summarizing the relevant theoretical research of previous authors,this thesis analyzes and summarizes the problems and reasons for the application of situational teaching method in senior high school ideology and politics class,and finally proposes corresponding countermeasures.The content of this thesis consists of three main parts.In the first part,an overview of situational pedagogy is presented.The concepts of teaching situation and situational pedagogy are defined and summarized,and the characteristics,functions and requirements of contextual pedagogy are outlined,It explains the importance of situational teaching method in Ideological and political teaching.In the second part,the problems and reasons for the application of the situational teaching method in high school ideology and politics classes are analysed.The study found that the problems existed mainly in the unreasonable creation of situation,students’ lack of emotional empathy for situation,Teachers’ inadequate use of situational teaching methods at ordinary times.The main reasons for this are that some teachers lack design for the creation of situation,some teachers choose contextual materials that are not in line with the reality of students’ lives,and the use of situational teaching methods lacks resourceful support.In the third part,we propose countermeasures for the application of situational teaching methods in high school ideology and politics classes.In order to use the situational approach scientificlly,it is necessary to improve teachers’ awareness and ability to design situation,to screen situational materials in the situation of students’ lives,and to pay attention to the development and use of situational teaching resources in high school ideology and politics classes.
