The Application Of Historical Materials Of Newspapers And Periodicals In Modern History Teaching Of High Schools

Since the core literacy of history of “true evidence of historical materials” was put forward,the research and teaching of history cannot do without historical materials.For the teaching of Chinese modern history,the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals are important sources of historical materials because of their own characteristics and value.Although the historical research based on the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals has produced quite rich academic achievements,there are not many subjects about the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals being applied to the history class of middle schools at present.Therefore,on the basis of the previous research on the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals,combined with the current high school history teaching situation,this paper explores the specific applications of historical materials of newspapers and periodicals in high school modern history teaching.The introduction part mainly expounds the reason for choosing the topic,the research status and the concept and development of historical materials in newspapers and periodicals.The first chapter analyzes the necessity and feasibility of applying historical materials of newspapers and periodicals in the teaching of modern history in high schools.On the one hand,history is a subject with ideological and humanistic nature,and the essence of history teaching is inquiry.Historical materials of newspapers and periodicals have become an important source of historical materials for college entrance examinations in recent years,which makes it necessary for teachers to apply historical materials of newspapers and periodicals in modern history teaching.On the other hand,the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals are of high value,newspapers and periodicals resources have been preserved and developed,and high school students have the ability to interpret the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals,which explains the feasibility of application.Chapter two explores the specific application of historical materials of newspapers and periodicals in the teaching of modern history in high schools.Taking "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(I)" as an example,this paper combs the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals quoted in part of Chinese modern history,and makes supplementary materials of relevant newspapers and periodicals for each class.Then,with specific teaching cases,this paper expounds the specific methods of using historical materials of newspapers and periodicals reasonably and effectively in classroom teaching and extracurricular teaching.The third chapter points out the problems and suggestions for the application of the historical materials of newspapers and periodicals in the teaching of modern history in high schools.Based on the teaching case design,from the point of view of teachers,this paper summarizes the problems that should be paid attention to when selecting historical materials of newspapers and periodicals and when applying them in teaching.The paper also puts forward some suggestions on how to obtain historical materials from newspapers and periodicals and how to apply them in school teaching.The conclusion summarizes and reflects on the whole paper.
