Based on the implementation of the 2017 version of the general high school biology curriculum standards and the requirements for the cultivation of middle school students' core competencies in biology,the content of the new version of the textbook has undergone significant changes.The column "Exploration · Practice" is an important part of the new edition of the textbook,which is closely related to the cultivation of high school students' scientific inquiry ability.It is of great significance to fully explore the permeable scientific inquiry ability in the "Inquiry and Practice" column of the new edition of the textbook,which is of great significance for the implementation of the new curriculum standard concept and the optimization of the teaching mode.Taking the "Exploration·Practice" column of the new version of the PEP biology textbook as the research object,the type distribution and quantity distribution of the "Exploration·Practice" column were sorted out,and its role in cultivating students' scientific inquiry ability was analyzed.From the perspective of teachers and students,investigate the current situation of the teaching application of the "Inquiry and Practice" column,collect the data of teachers' teaching status of the "Inquiry and Practice" column by means of questionnaires and interviews,and analyze the problems encountered by teachers in actual teaching;The method of scale evaluation is to evaluate the level of scientific inquiry ability of students in practical activities according to the prepared quantitative score table,and analyze the current shortcomings of students' scientific inquiry ability.According to the current situation of teaching application in the column of "Inquiry and Practice" and the level of students' scientific inquiry ability at the current stage,use the existing teaching methods to make a case teaching design,and carry out the teaching application of the practical activities under the column of "Inquiry and Practice".In practice,set up a control group and an experimental group in the selected student research objects,compare the changes of students' scores before and after the experimental group uses a reasonable and scientific case design,and at the same time compare the students' evaluation scores generated by the experimental group's case design using teaching methods.Compared with the control group,which still adopts the traditional teaching method,the students' scores and grades are compared,and the changes of students' scientific inquiry ability are analyzed.
