Investigation And Analysis Of Development Status Of The Key Research Institute Of Humanities And Social Sciences At Universities

In June 1999,the Ministry of Education officially proposed "the construction plan of Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Universities",after more than 20 years of construction and development,Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Universities(Referred to as KRI)has made a great contribution in scientific research,personnel training,academic exchanges,consulting services and reforming the scientific research system.Meanwhile,KRI play an important role in promoting the development and innovation of philosophy and social sciences in universities.At present,China is experiencing extensive and profound social changes in the history of the Chinese nation.Philosophy and social sciences have become more important and arduous under the background of promoting social democratization and building a cultural power in China.Humanities and social sciences in universities need to shoulder a higher mission and requirements as important components of national cultural soft power and comprehensive national strength.This paper uses literature research,network investigation,quantitative analysis and other methods to investigate and analyze the development of KRI,summarizes the problems and put forward corresponding suggestions.The main body of the paper includes four parts: Firstly,introducing the basic types and functional positioning of KRI combined with domestic and foreign research results.Analyzing operational management mechanism from the angle of operation mode,personnel allocation and fund source.Secondly,combined with specific data analyzing the development status of KRI,from the distribution of age,regional distribution,university distribution,discipline structure,information platform construction,degree education,advisory services,academic exchange,scientific research output and its influence,etc.Next,according to the survey results,KRI has not only made some achievements,but also has some shortcomings.For example: unbalanced regional distribution,lack of characteristics in research field,single education function,low contribution in decision making,not smooth in communication,insufficient information platform construction and etc.Finally,put targeted suggestions : setting up KRI actively combining with the trend,create a distinctive brand by taking advantage of cross-disciplinary strengths,cultivating all-round versatile talents,improving the evaluation mechanism and decision making,strengthen scientific research project management and uphold the base spirit,strengthen the construction of information integration platforms through library resources,spreading the voice of China to develop top KRI,building an information sharing platform.This paper made a comprehensive investigation to the development of KRI,call for more scholars pay more attention to the construction of KRI.Through this paper committed to improve the overall construction quality of KRI and promote the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences in China.
