In 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in his important speech at the National Education Conference: We must strive to build an education system for comprehensive training of morality,intelligence,physical education,and art,and clearly put labor education in the same important position as the other four educations.The "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Universities,Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era" promulgated in 2020 requires labor education to be included in the entire process of talent training.As the backbone of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,college students in the new era are not only conducive to their own comprehensive and healthy development,but also play a very important role in social stability and the development of an innovative country.Chinese traditional culture,modern Western countries,classic Marxist writers,and the leaders of the Communist Party of China have rich ideas on labor education.These are the basis for the development of labor education for college students in the new era.At present,labor education for college students has achieved certain results,which are mainly reflected in: increased labor awareness,enhanced labor awareness,increased labor enthusiasm,and continuous enrichment of labor education methods.However,labor education for college students also has some problems,which are mainly reflected in: the neglect of labor education in the educational concept of colleges and universities,the imperfect labor education teaching system and security system;the negative factors in society and the influence of traditional education concepts,and the support of social organizations Not enough;the parents’ labor education concept is biased,the only child model is affected,and the family education method is incorrect;some college students themselves lack correct labor cognition,and their labor self-discipline ability is poor.The emergence of these problems is not only caused by universities,but also by social family and university students themselves.The main countermeasures to solve these problems are that colleges and universities must play a leading role in labor education,that is,college leaders must attach great importance to labor education,and at the same time,they must continuously improve the labor education teaching system and the labor education security system;second,the society must play a role in labor education.The supporting role in labor education is to create a multi-dimensional and three-dimensional propaganda matrix of scientific labor concepts,and strive to improve the support and security of social organizations;third,the family must play a basic role in labor education,that is,to change the parents’ labor education concept and create a good Family working atmosphere.Optimize the content of family labor education to help students form a correct labor awareness.Enriching the form of family labor education and focusing on cultivating students’ basic labor skills;fourth,college students themselves should consciously strengthen the cultivation of labor quality,that is,continue to conduct self-education and establish correct labor values;continue to strengthen self-practice and form good labor habits.
