Elderly Toys Design Under The Guidance Of Positive Psychology

At present,China has been one of the fastest aging countries in the world,in the face of the rolling "silver wave",more and more pension industries emerge endlessly,but because people born in the late 50 s and early 60 s will gradually enter the ranks of the elderly,which also puts forward higher requirements for some aging industries.Among them,for the elderly toys industry is relatively backward,most of the toys on the market are also inclined to children and adults,elderly toys as a new trend of thought in the pension industry,this aspect is almost blank;And existing studies have confirmed that the elderly can effectively prevent and alleviate Alzheimer’s disease and reduce "depression" through specific toys or game tasks.Positive psychology is a science that studies human development potential and virtues and other positive qualities,which can improve the mental and physical quality of the current elderly,and combine positive psychology theory with toys for the elderly,which can promote the positive psychology of the elderly,thereby generating happiness and spending a happy old age.This paper first analyzes the current situation of toys for the elderly at home and abroad,and obtains the development of toys for the elderly in China through the analysis of the current situation.Secondly,based on the knowledge of geriatric psychology,the characteristics of the physiological,psychological and behavioral development of the elderly were studied,and then the observation method,questionnaire survey and user interview were used to further analyze the needs of elderly users for toys,and the positive design model of elderly toys was obtained.Comprehensively use positive psychology and product design related concepts to propose toy design strategies for the elderly;Finally,under the guidance of positive psychology theory,combined with the positive experience design method,the design practice is tried and the practice demonstration is carried out.This study explores the use of positive psychology theory combined with toys for the elderly,mainly in the research part and the toy product design part,trying to provide a new idea for the design of toys for the elderly,and at the same time driving social care and care for the elderly,so that toys are no longer children’s patents.
