Study On The Activation Design Of Ancestral Hall In Kengbei Old Village,Guangzhou

As a traditional ritual building in China,ancestral hall architecture has unique architectural style and cultural connotation,however,in the trendy environment of the development of the times,ancestral halls seem to become unsuitable and declining.This paper addresses the core issue of how to revitalize ancestral halls on the basis of respecting the heritage value of ancestral halls,so that the halls can retain their original functions and meet the needs of heritage revitalization.To address the above issue,this thesis takes the Kengbei Ancestral Hall in Guangzhou as the research object,and uses field research and case study to research through a lot of field research and data compilation.Firstly,the architectural heritage value of the ancestral halls is evaluated in terms of historical value,artistic value and scientific value,and the architectural elements of the ancestral halls in the ancient village of Kengbei,Guangzhou,are preserved or not for reference;secondly,the architectural characteristics of the ancestral halls in Guangdong are studied to identify the common features and provide style reference for the revitalization design strategy of the ancestral halls in Kengbei,Guangzhou;then,the needs of various groups in the ancient village of Kengbei,Guangzhou,are interviewed and analyzed.Finally,the design principles for the revitalization design of the ancestral halls in Hangbei Ancestral Hall in Guangzhou are determined,and the revitalization strategy of the ancestral halls in Hangbei Ancestral Village in Guangzhou is proposed to provide a basis for the revitalization design.Based on the above-mentioned research basis,under the guidance of design principles and revitalization strategies,the revitalization of ancestral halls in Hangbei ancient village in Guangzhou can be guided by the restoration of the original architectural style first,the implantation of new functions of cultural services and display in the ancestral hall space and the implantation of new elements in the creation of spatial atmosphere on the premise of retaining the original functions of the ancestral hall,and then the realization of tourism services in the extended space,and finally the optimization of the environment under the requirement of harmonizing the historical buildings with the environment.Finally,the design of the environment is optimized under the requirement of harmonizing the historical architecture with the environment.This thesis expands the idea of revitalization design of ancestral halls,promotes the conservation and utilization of traditional architecture,and provides reference for the revitalization design of ancestral halls in Zengcheng and similar types of buildings,creating more value for the society.
