With the increase of age and other factors,the cognitive function of the elderly gradually declines,and the memory,comprehension,executive ability and visual spatial ability become worse.As an important urban public activity space,the living street has become increasingly prominent.For example: Poor travel safety and comfort,lack of street leisure and entertainment space nodes,homogeneity of street space form,and low street identification and participation.Based on the construction concept of "age-friendly city" and guided by the cognitive needs of the elderly,this study transforms the previous single spatial transformation method.Strive to create a safe,convenient,comfortable,easy to recognize and remember,positioning clear and accurate street space environment for the elderly.First of all,this thesis reviews the status quo of domestic and foreign research on the cognition and living street space of the elderly,analyzes the cognitive characteristics of the elderly,expounds and summarizes relevant research theories,and lays a foundation for the subsequent research of this thesis.Secondly,a total of 12 typical living trunk roads,secondary trunk roads and branch streets in the four districts of the main urban area of Anyang City were selected for field investigation to analyze their spatial structure characteristics and summarize the current problems.On this basis,factor analysis was used to extract three common factors affecting cognitive friendliness of the elderly in living street space: The weight of each factor was obtained according to the variance contribution rate and factor score coefficient,and the comprehensive score of the factors was calculated.Then,the difference of the cognitive friendliness of the elderly in three different types of living street space was summarized,and the overall optimization direction of living street space was grasped by SWOT analysis.Finally,based on the above analysis,the thesis puts forward three optimization strategies for the safety,legibility and spatial diversity of the living street space in Anyang City.In terms of safety and accessibility,optimize the street spatial layout,improve the barrier-free space,and improve the quality of the road surface.In terms of legibility,the street interface should be optimized to create pleasant scale and intelligent intensive street facilities.In terms of spatial diversity,it excavates small idle space,integrates street space,improves street identification,and creates friendly and pleasant street atmosphere.Moreover,it proposes targeted optimization strategies for three different types of living street space,so as to improve the comprehensiveness and pertinence of optimization and transformation.This thesis focuses on the guidance and application of the age-friendly concept to the optimization of the living street space in Anyang City,analyzes and grasbles the optimization direction of the living street space in Anyang City,proposes overall and targeted optimization strategies,and studies the age-appropriate transformation of the active street space from the perspective of the cognitive friendliness of the elderly.In order to provide reference for other cities of the same type of living street space transformation research.
