| Shanghai is the birthplace of Chinese watercolor art.During the Republican period,vario us factors such as economic,cultural,social,traditional and western art trends catalyzed the tr ansmutation of Shanghai watercolor art.Watercolor art began to develop in a more personaliz ed direction,revealing an artistic style with local characteristics.The demand of the rising co mmodity economy prompted watercolor art to evolve into a branch serving commerce-the m onth-board advertising painting,which was an important achievement in the localization of w atercolor art and the first time in Chinese history that watercolor was combined with commerc e.Under the special background of the times,the calendar completed the transformation of co mmercialization in its development and became a commercial art category in the real sense.T he affiliation in the same development space confirms that there is a close connection between the two.This paper will sort out the interaction between the two through a detailed analysis o f the transmutation of watercolor art in the Republic of China and the process of commercializ ation of moon cards.The first chapter mainly discusses the background of the times.It discusses the backgrou nd and factors that influenced the development of watercolor art and moon cards in Shanghai in the Republic of China from the perspective of economic changes,ideological and cultural c hanges,and educational development.The second chapter elaborates on the transmutation of watercolor art in Republican Shanghai.It discusses the development of watercolor art in the R epublic of China in terms of artistic style and spirituality due to the multifaceted influences,or ganizes the watercolor activities and artists’ achievements in the Republic of China Shanghai,and analyzes and interprets them with the support of representative artworks.It takes inheritan ce and innovation as the entry point to study the rise and fall of watercolor art in each period,and explores the laws of artistic development from them.The third chapter focuses on the co mmercialization process of the monthly license: the budding period,the initial stage,the heyd ay and the decline of the business.The whole chapter takes the commercial model as a clue,a nd through the analysis of artworks,creative techniques and artistic styles,it studies the conno tation of the commercial nature of the moon signs in different periods.Chapter four focuses o n the relationship between the transmutation of watercolor art in Republican Shanghai and the commercialization of the monthly license plate.Through the analysis in this chapter,we gain an in-depth understanding of the deep connection between the two,which promotes,influence s and alienates each other,and decipher the relationship and connotation of the development o f art and commerce.Chapter 5 summarizes the historical significance and contemporary value of watercolor art and calendar billboard advertising in Shanghai during the Republic of China.The emergence of the watercolor moon sign broke through and dissolved the original bo undary of watercolor art,and then reconstructed and innovated its own new aesthetic form.O verall,the transmutation of watercolor art in Shanghai and the rise of commercialization of th e monthly board are mutually influential and promoting,and this study is of great significance for us to grasp the correct development path of contemporary watercolor and the cross-applic ation of art and commercial art. |
