This practice report is a simulated practice report. In the process of simulated practice, the author sets up a specific meeting scene and conducts simulated interpreting practice. The practice report takes the 2021 Guangxi Cultural Tourism Development Conference as an example,in which the triangular model of the Interpretive Theory is used: comprehension, deverbalization, and re-expression.At the same time,on the basis of corresponding theories, the author uses communicative translation strategies, combined translation skills such as addition and omission, and semantic translation strategies, combined with specific processing methods of culture-loaded words and long and difficult sentences,to carry out simulated interpret practice. The Interpretive Theory is one of the most important interpreting theories often used in conference interpreting. The practice report analyzes specific cases, and provides corresponding theoretical support for those interpreters who are faced with the cultural differences between China and the West that cannot be handled or are difficult to handle during the interpreting work.In the process of practice, some problems that often occur in tourism interpreting are exposed. These problems are mainly discussed from two aspects. The first aspect is for the interpreter’s own comprehensive quality, such as inner tension, language fluency, lack of confidence and so on.The second aspect is for the interpreter’s Chinese and English language skills and knowledge, interpreting skills and abilities, such as lack of information, omission, improper handling of specific words, deviations in interpreting thinking and so on.Therefore, the corresponding solutions are proposed to provide some reference value for interpreters. |
