Taohuawu New Year pictures occupy an important position in traditional Chinese art with a wide range of themes and unique styles.However,traditional forms of expression can no longer attract the attention of contemporary young people.Revitalization and inheritance are important issues.At present,the research on Taohuawu New Year pictures still has problems such as insufficient excavation of cultural connotation and less involvement of user preferences.This paper selects the research perspective of cultural genes,and conducts research on the user preferences of Taohuawu New Year paintings art style through the combination of qualitative in-depth interviews and quantitative questionnaires.First of all,it is found that Taohuawu New Year paintings have formed during the development:Changmen Gusu version and Suzhou wood version.The research team can use the style transfer algorithm to capture and convert the characteristics of the image set,and form the style after style training on the two style samples.The library conducts user preference experiments,and the experimental results show that the preference of Changmen Gusu Edition is significantly higher than that of Suzhou Wooden Edition.Secondly,in order to verify the results of the first experiment,the research team analyzed and extracted the cultural genes of the"shape"and "meaning" of the two major styles,and initially built a cultural gene bank of Taohuawu New Year pictures,and carried out cultural research on this basis.The genetic preference experiment,the experimental results once again verified that the contemporary user preference of Changmen Gusu version is significantly higher than that of Suzhou wood version.Third,the reasons for the two experimental results are summarized through in-depth interviews.This paper believes that the era background of the Changmen Gusu edition is closer to the present,so the implicit cultural genes contained in it can be more recognized by contemporary users;Cultural genes are more popular and can be activated and passed on first.Finally,according to the research conclusions of user preferences,a design strategy centered on mining cultural connotation is put forward,and design practice and verification are carried out to provide a certain reference for the design of cultural and creative products in the future.
