| With the development of the times,China’s family structure,family concepts and working methods have been constantly changing.The traditional concept of "men in charge of the outside world and women in charge of the inside world" has been broken.More and more women have torn off the label of housewife and entered the workplace,and more and more men have also taken on the responsibility of family.At the same time,the working place is no longer limited to the three-inch land of the company,and the boundary between work and family has been broken.With such changes,individuals face more and more work-family conflicts,which have brought many impacts on organizations and employees,which has also attracted the attention of academia and organizations.In order to expand the structure of work-family conflict,the concept of work-family behavior role conflict is introduced,which refers to specific cases of work interfering with family or family interfering with work.To introduce a new concept,we should first make it concrete and operational.Therefore,this study starts with the work-family behavior role conflict scale,and develops three sub-studies to revise,verify and apply it,in order to expand the existing work-family relationship structure.The first study is based on classical measurement theory and item response theory,the revised simplified work-family behavioral role conflict scale was developed.The second study is to validate the the reliability,validity and gender invariance of simplified work-family behavior role conflict scale;The third study is to test the applicability of the simplified work-family behavioral role conflict scale and explore the mechanism of work-family behavioral role conflict on employee turnover intention.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)On the basis of the original scale,the simplified work-family behavior role conflict scale deleted 11 non-conforming items and retained 19 items,and finally formed a simplified work-family behavior role conflict scale with 19 items.(2)The short version of the work-family behavior role conflict scale shows good psychometric properties in the sample of Chinese employees.(3)The short version of the work-family behavior role conflict scale has good applicability in the Chinese context.The work-family behavior role conflict has not only a direct and positive predictive effect on employee turnover intention,but also an indirect predictive effect through the role overload as an intermediary variable.This study revised and verified the psychometric properties of the simplified work-family behavior role conflict scale in the Chinese context,expanded the structure and research perspective of work-family relationship,and clarified the mechanism of work-family behavior role conflict on employee turnover intention at the end,providing a new perspective for follow-up work-family relationship research,and put forward corresponding suggestions for organizations and employees to reduce turnover intention. |
